The husband was recently involved in a global event which entailed the planning and execution of a series of summits, and as a token of appreciation and recognition for a job well-done, he received through the mail, this book entitled Beyond Chips: A Collection of chocolate recipes from IBMers around the world.

Obviously, the ultimate recipient of this book is lucky me! A cookbook with chocolate recipes and more chocolate recipes - I received it with open arms! I love the recipes within, and I love the pictures even more. It is such a wonderful book to add to my collection of cookbooks! You may click on the respective images below for an enlarged version.
I have been requested to bake something from one of the many recipes, so that his team members who worked with him on the project, but who did not receive recognition like he did, would be able to "taste" the recognition. I've finally gotten round to doing it but I think I've chosen the wrong day of the week to bake, because I am sure, all the cookies would be gone by Monday!!

You won't be able to purchase this book anywhere, but I promise you, I'll share the recipes as and when I bake something out of this book. Agreed? So, the first recipe that I'm gonna share is an easy-as-ABC cookie recipe - Chocolate Chip Cookie (please click on the link. Delicious Comfort needs a breath of fresh air. The potato salad is getting stale. hee!)

aww.. you big softie. Must toughen up. ok? no matter, small matter. everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. don't take anything personally. "sticks and stones can break my bones, words cannot harm"
oooh! I love all things chocolate, so I will definitely be on the look out for the recipes!! Thanks.
Sahm, I will endeavour to keep the oven warm :)
sorry if my comment hurt you so much. but yeah, like jomel said, don't take it personally. and let's hope if paris jackson ever go online and see people saying that her speech was acted out, she won't take it personally as well.
That's sure is a treasure! I love cookbooks with stories to the recipe or to the cook, or even to the ingredients! And my hubby shares the same like with me. And mind you, he has many of such cookbooks that he collected some 20 years ago - but well kept by me! I think with the busyness of life and having to a big share of running the family, he should have forgotten about all these luxuries of life :(
Yan, I know. I remember that you love cookbooks like this too! We share the same interests in this department. You might be able to re-ignite your hubby's passion by presenting him with a nice book, perhaps?
lets give paris a rest and let the poor child mourn her loss in peace. she will be under close scrutinty by the press - lets just hope she grows up strong.
