had nasi kandar tonite :)

Last night, after my girl's party, my body gave up the fight and succumbed to the flu virus that it's struggling so hard to contain. I literally collapsed and slept with my hair still damp, fresh from the shower. In the night and the whole of today, I coughed a million times, possibly. And I was drifting in and out of consciousness the most part of today. My last episode of the chills and fever was this morning and I can feel it in my bones that that's gonna be the last of it. After 4 freaking feverish days, please let that be it!!

I'm able to stand and sit upright now, and for dinner tonight, I've had rice without feeling nauseous! My first plate of solid food in the last four days! Hallelujah!!

Like life itself, our physical health is not as resilient as we've always thought it to be. You may take all the necessary precautions, perform the daily rituals, like exercising; consume the most nutritious food, and yet, something like this can hit you out of nowhere and there's absolutely nothing you can do but fight it. And as painful as it may be - if you still recall your last flu episode, it's really nothing as compared to others who are suffering illnesses and diseases far worse. So, whatever it is, just give thanks ladies and gentlemen. Give thanks every night before you go to bed, for your health, and for your life. Amen! :)

yup, can't complain much these days. too many people having it worse. the fevers these days are 'complicated'. you got one of those. i had them before. drenched in sweat. and repeated over a couple of days, not like the usual 'break fever' in two episodes and getting well thereafter.
but it sounds like you've fought the last bit. especially when our appetite comes back ya.
take it easy with food for a few days. good liquids. and you're gonna be brand new soon. and ... the best part, immune for a while. lol.

Leyaw, no.. they were still as noisy and irritating as usual! :)

SAHM, hooray!

Misti, my cough is still nagging and tiring me out. Well, I have fought the last bit. No fever since that last one. Thanks for the advice. And "Immune for a while" sounds very good. :)
